Day of the Dead Festival
On our last day of celebrations, we will be a part of the annual Dia De Los Muertos festival parade at The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. We will display our altars and enjoy Dia De Los Muertos treats. Our final celebration starts at 1 PM.

Day of the Dead Event: Movie Day (Spanish)
This event will be the most important of our celebrations. On this day, we will commemorate our loved ones by creating altars. Altars are important for Day of the Dead because they honor and welcome the spirits of deceased loved ones, offering them food, mementos, and symbolic items to guide and comfort them on their spiritual journey. The English option begins at 1 PM, and a Spanish-speaking option begins at 2 PM.

Day of the Dead: Movie Day (English)
For this event, we will learn about Day of The Dead through the beloved movie, “Coco.” We will watch the English version of the movie on October 24 at 1 PM and the Spanish version on October 25 at 1 PM.

Day of The Dead Bash
On The Day of The Dead, we will learn all about this exciting holiday. We will start by learning the origins and why this day is so important in Latin and Hispanic cultures as we also enjoy goodies to celebrate. The English option begins at 1 PM, and a Spanish-speaking option begins at 2 PM.

Day of The Dead Event: Introduction
To celebrate our culture, we will kick off our events with a class all about Latin and Hispanic culture. This would be a great chance for you to learn more about the rich culture of your Latin and Hispanic Friends! The English introduction begins at 1 PM, and a Spanish-speaking option begins at 2 PM.
